Well the momentum train ran out of steam in Detroit, Rock City. Perhaps the Kids were thinking too much about the KISS performance on American Idol. So you actually CAN'T rock and roll every night, or every day (Thursday) for that matter.
Note to Dallas fans - Come back from off the ledge, or stop pushing people onto the same said ledge. Seriously, sometimes I feel like this town is 1.5 million people who can't wait for a reason to beat the shit out of anyone who can't win 100% of their games, bag the hot chick at the bar every night, single handily strike out world hunger or discover who shot J.R.
So, yeah, we have played only one series against a team that is over .500 in the last month. We did sweep them, though. And, yeah, we face the Spankees (twice), Red Sox, Blue Jays and Dodgers in the next seven series, but imagine the possibilities! How many home runs will we hit at the new launching pad in the Bronx (cheer)? How many times will we make Canadiens say "Those Hosers look like they could drink the Hansons under the table, eh?"? How quickly will LaLa fans forget Ramirez and roids and switch to Ron Washington and Soul-Glo? Seriously, has anyone used more grease with less hair? I've heard of the friar tuck 'doo, but this is floo-bee-gone-wrong territory.
Anyway (or is it anyways, I can never figure that one out). So the deal right now is that what everyone expected wouldn't be here (pitching) is far out-performing what everyone expected would be (hitting). My prediction? KFC will no longer listen to some English/Australian CEO on what a great marketing idea it would be to offer free chicken to, well, everyone in the free world, and the Kids will start to hit (in clutch situations) while the pitching will continue to be in the top half of the American League. Derek Holland is performing in the pen, McCarthy is a very fine option in the rotation and Feliz is only a couple months away.
Oh, one (maybe two) final notes. The Kids got to where they are right now with a stint on the DL from Hamilton and the best closer in the A.L. out for the last week. F The Doctor.
Is Hamilton going to go on the DL again? He hasn't played since taking on that wall.

Ron Washington just announced that the Slambino will be starting in CF tonight. Josh has been available for pinch hitting and I'm suprised he didn't to lead off the ninth yesterday in place of Elvis Andrus.
